Is it More Expensive to use a Travel Agency?

Can't I get a Better Deal from a national travel website?

  Not necessarily.  Sometimes the rates from nationally advertised travel websites are better than what we can locate.  Normally, we can access those same rates on your behalf, but on rare occasion we cannot.  But with a national website, you will not be getting personal service.

 

  Many times, their rates are no better than those available to travel agents, and frequently their quoted rates do not include taxes, surcharges, and other hidden fees.  Often, you won't know this until the end of the booking and billing process.  Encompass Travel doesn't do that to you; we don't think that is nice.

 

 

 

 

 

So if you're not marking it up, how do you make money?

  Our services are paid by commissions from the hotels and destinations we arrange for you.  You would pay the same rate whether you use a travel agent or not, and we'll take the headaches and uncertainty out of traveling.  And often, we can bundle suppliers together and obtain discounts not available except through travel agents.
